Ladder Rung Spacing
Dimensions details of rung the rungs diameter shall be 20mm dia 50mm.
Ladder rung spacing. All other rungs on your fixed ladders will be equally spaced at 12. For ladders greater than 1m a rung spacing 250 mm spacing 300 mm. 10 minimum and 14 maximum spacing from centerline to centerline of rungs.
Minimum design live load. Ladders must be capable of supporting their maximum intended load. All fixed ladders have rungs dictated by osha standard 1910 27 b 1 of no more than 12 300 mm on center measured as the distance from the centerline of a rung to the center line of the next rung and at 16 410 mm clear width.
Rungs cleats and steps of portable ladders except as provided below and fixed ladders including individual rung step ladders shall be spaced not less than 10 inches 25 cm apart nor more than 14 inches 36 cm apart as measured between center lines of the rungs cleats and steps. It would appear that you are providing uniform spacing of rungs for the user of the ladders. Tolerance of 5 mm or better.
There are exceptions for ladders in elevator shafts or on telecommunications towers. The intent of this standard is to eliminate a continuing change of the uniform distance between rungs. This is not the case in your situation.
When a ladder safety system is provided the maximum clearance between side rails of the extension must not exceed 36 inches 91 cm. 1926 1053 a 3 ii.
