Line Spacing

Line spacing. In word line spacing is most commonly measured in multiples of whatever font size the paragraph is using. Change the line spacing in a portion of the document select one or more paragraphs to update. Or you can do the math multiply your point size by the percentage.
Go to home line and paragraph spacing select line spacing options and choose an option in the line spacing box. For professional papers also include at least one double spaced blank line above the author note student papers do not include author notes. To format line spacing select the text you want to format.
For most text the optimal line spacing is between 120 and 145 of the point size. Most word processors as well as css let you define line spacing as a multiple. For example say you re using a 12 point font for the text in your paragraph.
The text in this paragraph has line spacing of 135. If you choose single line spacing the space between lines will be 12 points. Double space the rest of the title page.
You can also customize the spacing in this section and choose whether word will leave extra space between paragraphs. Adjust the before and after settings to change spacing between. The line spacing will change in the document.
Insert a double spaced blank line between the title and the byline on the title page. Step 5 when you have made your selections click ok. The letter spacing property is used to specify the space between the characters in a text.
