My boyfriend wants space. In fact the absolute best thing to do when he says he needs space is to believe him and let him have the space he s looking for. You know that s bogus and of course he does too. This is not about revenge.

If he was truly cool with the choice that he made and the changes in your lives then he would never ever say that he needed space. If you want to save your relationship and make it better than it ever was you must give him what he is asking for right now. And it s another if he has done this once or even more than once before.

A guy may not always ask for space but he will be grateful anytime it is granted to him. Lots of guys want space because they don t feel in control. Giving space isn t an issue if your focus is on making your life an amazing place without needing him to make it that way for you.

But unfortunately this is what he ll do if you let him. Tell him you respect his need to give him space and will honor it. Do not call him do not text him do not try to accidentally bump into him.

If we choose to be immature and focus on a man wanting space as a sign that he is behaving badly then we are weakening ourselves rather than strengthening ourselves. First it s important to say that it s completely normal for a guy to want some space and it s completely normal to give him space. It s one thing if our boyfriend asks for space.

If that s the case it s possible that he s not ready to really commit to us and be in a long term relationship. I need space hearing your partner say that he or she wants space is probably one of the more stress inducing conversations to be had in a relationship.
