Safe Space Training

The safe space training is four hours long.

Safe space training. Safe space ally training aims to equip students faculty and staff with the tools for creating safe spaces and welcoming environments for lgbtq students on campus. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the lgbtq community resources and obtain the basics for making a difference in their sphere of influence. If you wish to begin a safe space or safe zone program on your campus this course is an ideal way to get started.

At baltimore city community college we regularly hold safe spaces workshops for our faculty and staff and the reviews are always glowing. Safe spaces will ensure that folks are sensitive to all the nuances in our culture today as it relates to the lesbian gay bisexual transgender questioning intersex and asexual lgbtqia community. A safe space program is one of the measures of a supportive campus on the campus pride index.

The training is approximately 1 hour. We offer three types of training programs to meet the needs of you and your campus. Campus pride is proud to offer online training for college and university faculty staff administrators or students who are interested in creating a safe and inclusive space for lgbtq students and colleagues.

The student safe space trainings are provided throughout the year and can be provided upon request for your organization or staff.
